This policy applies to heytanhey.com, operated by Tanya Powell (London, UK). It explains what data is collected when you use this site and what happens to it.
What data is collected
This site collects minimal data by design.
- Theme preference. A single cookie (
theme) stores your light or dark mode choice. It contains no personal information and expires after one year. - Server logs. Standard web server logs record IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These are retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then deleted.
- No analytics platform. This site does not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any third-party analytics service. No tracking pixels, no fingerprinting.
Third-party integrations
This site integrates with the following platforms to display content and retrieve public data:
- Threads (Meta). Where noted in posts, publicly available Threads metrics (such as view and engagement counts on posts by this account) are retrieved via the Threads API to support documented experiments. No data from Threads users other than this account is collected or stored.
- Bluesky. No user data is collected through Bluesky. Any references to Bluesky content are publicly available.
This site does not collect, store, or share data about third-party users from any platform API.
What data is not collected
- No user accounts or sign-up forms
- No payment information
- No data from children under 13
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data with third parties
Your rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data held about you. Given this site collects minimal data, there is unlikely to be much to action — but the right stands.

Hosting
This site is hosted on Railway. Their infrastructure may process request data as part of standard web hosting operations. See Railway's privacy policy for details.
